Take the time a copy of Elle Decor showed up at my door. Unbeknownst to me, he signed me up for a year subscription. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Another prime example is this little <a href="https://www.tivoliaudio.ca/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e06666;">Tivoli Radio</span></a> in  the happiest yellow, which was a 'just because' gift. Not only does it look perfect (I love the retro vibe) in my space, it also hooks up to my ipod/iphone/laptop and has excellent sound quality.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Truth be told, M. said he was tired of listening to music off my 'crappy' laptop speakers while he was here. I have to admit, music sounds so much better coming from this little yellow box, and now I always have music playing in the background while I work on renderings and designs. Why not paint the island yellow rather than the walls? It's such a show stopper in an otherwise all white space.  <br /><br />Here are my thoughts:<br />1) Why not? Paint is a good place to experiment if you aren't afraid of color because its easy and inexpensive to change. <br /><br />2) Because yellow is so bright and cheery, I recommend it with white cabinets. I Love This Room

The weekend is coming to a close, so to cheer us all up I thought I'd post one of my favourite rooms. You may have already seen it, (it was the June 2011 cover of Canada's <a href="http://www.styleathome.com/homes/interiors/interior-sunny-living-and-dining-room/a/35938" target="_blank">Style at Home</a> magazine), but I still can't get enough! It's the living room of the magazine's contributing design editor Christine Hanlon. I love the space for its sunny, bright and refreshing vibe.
