My Matchbox Display

<div style="text-align: center;">My matchbooks from <a href="http://www.shopwaitingonmartha.com/products/black-spotted-matchboxes-set-of-6" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ea9999;">Waiting on Martha</span></a> (that I posted about <a href="http://tiffanyleighinteriordesign.blogspot.ca/2014/01/light-my-fire-pretty-matches.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ea9999;">here</span></a>) came awhile ago and I love them! The only problem was I didn't really know where or how to display them, and ended up hiding them in a drawer, which is a huge shame given how adorable they are! Then the other day I was thrifting at Value Village and a pretty pink depression glass bowl caught my eye from a distance. When I got close, I realized it was actually an ashtray and I thought 'what a clever, witty little holder for my matches this would be!'. Halloween Throwback DIY: Gold Skull

<div style="text-align: center;">I was at Michael's the other day grabbing some watercolour supplies and was happy to spot that this year they restocked the little cardboard skull that I used for my <a href="http://tiffanyleighinteriordesign.blogspot.ca/2012/09/diy-gold-skull.html"><span style="color: #ea9999;">gold skull DIY</span></a> last year.<br />This skully used to be a permanent figure on my coffee table, adding the perfect amount of edge to an otherwise pretty space. Watercolor Wednesday

<div style="text-align: center;">I've been slacking on Watercolor Wednesday the past few weeks and I've been missing it as a de-stresser. Lately I've been feeling very anxious and have been waking up with a sore jaw. Have any of you experienced this? I consulted Dr.Google (I know they advise against this but he gives such great diagnostics and usually leads one to believe they are dying of multiple ailments...I need this heads up!!) and apparently sore jaw in the morning means you are clenching or grinding your teeth at night. I do NOT like the sounds of that one bit. Hopefully the cottage this week will help me relax.<br /><br />Anyways, I painted this on Monday and woke up considerably less sore on Tuesday. I've said it before, but painting really is a mind clearing process. While it's not a perfect painting, it is exactly what the doctor ordered.<br />Today's watercolor is inspired by a vignette from the amazingly fierce Kelly Wearstler. Girl kills it EVERY.DAMN.TIME. This One's for the Fellas: Perfect Bachelor Pad Accessory

You can find similar items by inquiring at local pubs, restaurant suppliers, antique shops, and online vendors.</div><div style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace; text-align: center;">Alexander Keith's is a famous beer brewed in Nova Scotia, so the piece incorporates the area's history, along with style and function all in one. A black lamp helps to break up the whiteness of the rental walls, and a metal bar stool and pendant emphasize a manly, industrial vibe. Stack some sports books and cocktail recipe books on top.  Finish off the look by adding a stainless steel  ice bucket, beer glasses, and of course alcohol to compliment the restaurant theme of the chalkboard.</div><div style="font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace;">What do you think?
